Frequently Asked Questions
Get Expert Answers. Get Your Project Moving Faster
What types of custom cables and harnesses do you assemble?
We assemble a wide range – from simple discrete wire cables to complex multi-branch harnesses. This includes shielded and unshielded cables, overmolded assemblies, high-temperature configurations, ruggedized harnesses for harsh environments, and connector-specific designs (USB, HDMI, D-sub, Molex, JST, etc.). Send your specifications and we'll confirm if we can build it.
Do you offer design support for custom cable assemblies?
Yes. Our engineering team provides DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to optimize your design for reliability and cost. We can recommend materials, gauge sizes, connector types, strain relief options, and testing methods based on your application requirements – whether it's for medical, industrial, automotive, or consumer electronics.
What testing do you perform on custom wire harnesses?
Every assembly undergoes 100% continuity testing to verify proper routing and termination. We also perform HiPot (high potential) testing for dielectric withstand, as well as pull testing on crimps and terminations where required. Additional tests such as impedance control or signal integrity testing are available upon request.
What is your typical lead time for custom cable harness orders?
Prototype quantities (1-25 units) typically ship within 5-7 business days after design approval. Production lead times vary based on complexity and volume – generally 2-4 weeks. Expedited options are available. Contact us with your requirements for an exact timeline.
